For the past 3 years we have used April Fools Day to launch a social media blitz to raise awareness in the fight vs cancer.  #CancersNoJoke started in 2011 with the help of Sarah Colonna and other influential comedians and continued last year with the support of Fran Drescher and numerous other celebrity supporters.  April 1, 2013 won’t disappoint with the anticipated tweets/retweets and posts of many to create a viral, social media explosion to help fight this disease. Many of you were involved in some intensive tweeting several weeks ago when, with the help of many celebrities and comedians, we launched our #CancersNoJoke campaign.  To recap, our intent was strictly to raise awareness of the need for more bone marrow donors and to use Twitter, with the help of our followers, to help spread the message and get more people to understand the need to become registered. We spent a total of $200 for the campaign (for the cost of a press release) and the entire campaign was run on Twitter.  The social media results? Well, with over 22 million unique impressions, it was a GREAT campaign…….see below...
