April Fools Campaign

Awareness Campaign A Huge Success

We were amazed at the outpouring of support for this year’s April Fools Day #CancersNoJoke campaign.  While we will provide a detailed report soon with all the metrics, we wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all those celebrities who were involved in the campaign and EVERYONE who helped spread the message through their tweets.  We will keep the @getswabbed link live to continue to allow for more bone marrow registrations.  Check back soon for our summary…..

Many thanks to Fran Drescher who provided us with this #CancersNoJoke promo.  We are so thankful to Fran and all those comedians and celebrities who helped support our campaign.

With the support of  comedians/celebrities, HELPDKMS100K CHEEKS and thousands of supporters on Twitter, we launched our 2012 #CancersNoJoke campaign to help bring attention to the the need for more bone marrow donors who need a match.  Each year in the United States alone, more than 10,000 people are in need of a bone marrow donor from a non-relative yet less than half ever receive one.   We used the power of social media, mostly Twitter, to bring attention to the problem and to drive more people to become registered.   Check out the celebrities below who help us throughout the campaign…….
